A pressure transmitter which is also known as a pressure sensor is a device that is used to measure pressure in a liquid, gas or a fluid. With the proper usage of Pressure transmitters, people working in the industry are warned before a sudden accident due to the increase in pressure of the industrial machineries as these transmitters are used to sense excess pressure in these machines. Advantages of using Digital Pressure Sensors

Pressure sensors or transmitters are usually of two types namely digital and analog and according to the installation and system requirements, each one can be used for a specific task and depending on the nature of work. Though both the pressure sensors have their own advantages, digital ones have an upper hand in some scenarios. Some of the advantages of digital pressure sensors are given below

1. One of the major and distinguishing factors that makes digital pressure sensors advantageous over analog ones is that while analog pressure sensors provide one output signal, digital on the other hand provides two or more output signals such as pressure and temperature signals along with sensor diagnostic.
2. The signal of Analog pressure sensors interfere with any electromagnetic interference present around whereas the digital pressure sensors are not vulnerable to any electromagnetic interference thus giving accurate readings even if there is any EMI present.
3. Digital pressure sensors are more accurate as compared to analog sensors as they give precise readings in numerical formats which are easy to read and understand while the readings in analog sensors are difficult to read.
